STAGE PLOT
When playing multiple-act festivals, benefits, or opening for that famous
band in a local arena having a stage plot is essential. This gives the sound crew
the ability to pre-plan any staging logistics required to make the turnaround
as fast and as smooth as possible.
Here are a couple samples that you can save and rearrange for yourself as needed:

INPUT LIST
Another essential piece of information is the input list. This lets the FOH and/or Monitor
opperator know what your band's mix will look like. Are there any unusual instruments that
require addtional care when mixing? Are there preferred microphone or DI requests? This also
helps the sound company track down the needed gear or have time to find an artist-approved
alternate should that gear not be available at the time.
You can easily create your own input list in word or excel. Here are a few samples:

Bottom line is, this allows the sound company to be best prepared for the show ahead and
helps to not come up short when a band needs twice as many microphones than they'd normally
bring to a show. Proper planning will help improve everyone's experience.
